Summer School 2021

St Michael's received £25,980 to provide a summer school for students from Year 6.

Summer School ran for 5 full days between Monday 9th August and Friday 14th August. Around 100 students attended each day.

They participated in activities, such as Drama, writing poems, making ice-cream in Chemistry, making their own key ring in DT, badminton, Music, Maths, making historical objects, tie-dyeing their T-shirt in Art, learning French and Spanish.

These activities were all run by St. Michael's staff, so the students received good quality activities and got to know their new teachers and surroundings.

We had some very positive feedback from students and parents which showed that this venture really helped in the students transition to St Michael's.

Love one another, as I have loved you
