Vacancy for New Headteacher

At the end of this academic year, Mr Ward is retiring as Headmaster after 28 years of service to the School. The Governors are currently seeking high quality applicants for this position. Headteacher Applicant details and letter to parents.

Exam Results 2016 - A-Level: 81.2% A*/B grades; GCSE: 85.3% A*/A grades

Congratulations to all of our Yr 13 students who have done so well this summer. With 81.2% of all entries awarded at A* to B they should all move onto their chosen university courses with confidence.

The detailed breakdown of 2016 results has been delayed by the sheer volume of reviews of exam board marking that the School has had to engage in this year. Final results are expected by the end of October.

Student Success

Congratulations to every student who has represented the School in the last academic year as we have just been awarded Barnet's secondary School of the Year 2016 for participation in Games. This is the 6th successive year we have won this accolade.

Pupils in the news include ex-pupil Madeleine Badcott who is now president of the Oxford women's boat club and winning team member for the second year in a row. Also, Lois Joel in Year 13 who, after playing football for England in the recent European under 17 Championships, will now be part of their World Cup qualifying campaign.

St Michael’s is a lovely school. I have been at St Michael’s since 1988, first as Assistant Headteacher, then Deputy Headmaster in 1990 and from September 2012 as Headmaster.
